Riverside Rancho Grand Central
Homes For Sale, Open Houses, Sales Comps & Market Report
Located in the southwestern area of Glendale along the Los Angeles River and bordering the City of Los Angeles and Burbank are the Riverside Rancho and Grand Central neighborhoods. One of the truly unique benefits of the City of Glendale is how many parks and things to do are nearby and this area’s proximity to Griffith Park and all that Griffith Park has to offer.
Riverside Rancho
The Riverside Rancho neighborhood is not only unique to Glendale, but also to Los Angeles County primarily due to the Los Angeles Equestrian Center being located here, along with the equestrian activity and businesses permitted to operate here. The neighborhood runs alongside the Los Angeles River and immediately adjacent to Griffith Park, allowing resident horseback riders, sightseers (Los Angeles Zoo and Travel Town) runners, hikers and cyclists to take full advantage of all this magnificent County of Los Angeles park has to offer.
Many Ranch style residences exist here and quite a few of the streets are lined with mature trees and homes with permitted City of Glendale equestrian zoning allowances. With the City of Los Angeles and Griffith Park a bridge away and Burbank and Downtown Glendale only one or two freeway off-ramps distance, this area has great access to almost everything LA.
Grand Central
South of Glenoaks Boulevard in west Glendale and at Glendale’s western boundary with Burbank is the heart of Glendale’s (comparatively) upscale industrial area. This is the home of The Walt Disney Company, DreamWorks Animation and KABC-TV corporate offices. With traffic in Los Angeles County being among the highest in the country, Glendale residents that work at these three companies benefit greatly by living in the city, and many of them do.
